Please send in scans of your old photos from Camp Crucis.  If possible, include the date and the names of the people in the photo. 

Included below are several group photos, most without names.  We will have copies at the Reunion so that Old Timers can write in the names they can recollect. 

1947: First Camp Sessions

1947 - First Session - Senior Young People's Camp, June 8-14, 1947.

I think the 7th person standing, from the left, is Bill Burkhardt, who later was a priest at Trinity in Fort Worth.  He moved to Arizona and is now in Heaven.

Some of these folks are also in the 1950 Youth Conference photo, which has names below it.

1950 or so -  "Chapel on the Hill" -- timeless scene, but the upright pews date this postcard to pre-early-1960's. 

I recall a work weekend in the early 1960's when we built the backless pews that were anchored in the earth. 

Webmaster's aside: The sycamore tree in the distance to the left of the altar area (it lines up with the A in CHAPEL) grew tall and was one of my favorite sights during chapel.  I climbed it one day.

1962

1962 - Bicycling to Camp Crucis, Sunday, August 5, 1962.  Four of us are about to ride the 34 miles from the Riddell home in Ft.Worth to Crucis. 

Left to right: Jim Franklin, Joe Riddell, Gary Hellman, Walter Winsett.  

Jim and Walter had ridden from Dallas to Ft. Worth the day before.  Highway 377 was a rural highway then.

1962- Junior Girls Counselors & Staff, Aug. 5, 1962.  Help us out with the missing names.

1963

1963 - Two monks from the Order of the Holy Cross, Father Schultz and Brother Christopher, who taught during several sessions. 

1963 - Senior Conf.- Lifeguard Jim Franklin on the bridge 8-25-63. Who are the campers?
